Did you know baby alpacas are called "crias"? This is our newest cria, Othello Leonidas, born last September, protected by his mama.
And here he is after his first shearing. His fiber is amazingly soft, and he is super friendly.
He may look weird, but alpacas feel great after their annual shearing. He'll spend summer and fall re-growing his fiber in time for a frosty winter.
